To clarify the recent statements attributed to the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Turkish Republic in a media publication, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirms that these statements have been taken out of context, and attributed to the Ambassador which he did not mean in response to some questions he received.

Accordingly, the Ministry affirms that the State of Palestine has close and good relations with the Mediterranean countries, including Greece, Cyprus and Turkey, and that the State of Palestine is keen to preserve the wellness and development of these relations.

The Ministry affirms that all of these relations are mainly based on good-neighborliness and international law. The Ministry also affirms that there are currently no agreements being discussed with any of these parties.
