Dr.. Erekat Tells Foreign Diplomats Trump Envoy Greenblatt Has Turned Into Israel’s Spokesman

Top Palestinian Negotiator Dr Saeb Erekat told Foreign Diplomats that US President donald Trump Envoy Jason Greenblatt Has Turned Into Israel’s Spokesman.

In Harsh Letter To all diplomatic missions in Palestine Dr Saeb Erekat Greenblatt Has Turned Into Israel’s Spokesman adding that the United States is leading a campaign to justify Israeli crimes against Palestinian civilians who peacefully demonstrate on the Gaza border.

Erekat said:”Greenblatt adopted the position of the official spokesman of the Israeli army, calling on the demonstrators not to approach the border fence. Instead of demanding that the occupation authorities stop their ongoing crimes against Palestinian people.

Erekat added:” The US envoy did not hesitate to directly blame the Palestinian civilians, defending the occupation authorities and massacres committed in all occupied land of Palestine, and trying to justify  the  killing of Palestinian children by the occupation forces.

Erekat stressed that despite the recent Human Rights Watch report, which confirms the existence of a premeditated Israeli policy to target unarmed civilians and shoot them, the US administration continues to adopt the Israeli narrative and the positions of its political officials issued before and after the massacres against the people of the Gaza Strip,which clearly shows Israel’s policy of deliberate killing.

Erekat also stressed that this American position, totally biased towards the Israeli occupation, and would encourage Israel to continue its series crimes and violations of international law, international humanitarian law and impunity.

The American administration is not authorized to present any plan leading to a lasting and just peace for all. Here we reiterate that we will not accept that the United States plays the role of mediator for peace because it has isolated itself from any role as a sponsor of the peace process.

Erekat renewed his call for the need to open an immediate criminal investigation by the International Criminal Court to investigate Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people in occupied territory.
